This 204mm diameter Dado Blade Set comprises 2 x 24 tooth TCT outer blades, 6 inner chipper blades and 4 spacers. The chippers and spacers fit between the outer TCT blades. Simply select the inner chippers and spacers required to cut the width of slot required. The outer blades are 3.2mm. The inner chippers are 4 x 3.0mm, 1 x 2.2mm and 1 x 1.5mm. The spacers are 2 x 0.4mm and 2 x 0.3mm. The dado head should never be used to cut through the timber, it is for machining grooves using light, multiple cuts.
An accessory for the AT254TS and AT254LTS table saws, this set fits onto the 30mm blade arbor, using the standard blade clamp and nut. A special 18mm wide kerf plate for the dado set is provided with the table saw. In use, you remove the riving knife on the table saw, using the quick release catch.
Because using this set necessitates the removal of the machines standard crown guard and riving knife, we strongly recommend the purchase and fitting of the S-12 Overhead Guard (104504) to these machines, which as well as providing additional user safety, has a much greater efficiency of dust extraction when used with a suitable extractor.
If you are intending to use this dado head on any other brand of machine, please ensure that the machine is capable of mounting this cutter head securely. You will need a 30mm diameter parallel arbor at least 21mm in length.
