Lacewood has a conspicuous fleck, is reddish brown with grey/light brown which gives a lace pattern when quartersawn. The grain is usually striaght and has a fairly coarse texture. Lacewood is non-durable. Most common reactions include skin and eye irritation. Common uses for Lacewood - musical instruments, turned objects, cabinetry and veneer.
