Our Customers Love

This is a planer thicknesser, designed and built to withstand heavy use on a daily basis in any professional workshop. The long cast iron surfacing tables are completely adjustable to the cutter block to avoid sniping. A long, rigid alloy fence with stops at 90° and 45°. supports your work. There is a bracket on the rear of the machine to store the fence when not in use. The tables are hinged independently and latch securely for thicknessing. The thicknessing table adjusts smoothly and a digital height indicator allows for accurate measurement of the cut. Chip extraction is via a hinging flip-over hood which is electrically interlocked for safety. The power feed of 5m/min ensures a smooth, even finish.

The AP260SPT features a four-row spiral cutter block. This type of block offers numerous advantages compared to standard blocks. It features forty-four, 15mm square solid tungsten cutters arranged in a helical pattern. Each cutter has four edges, each edge lasts over ten times longer than HSS. When the cutters eventually dull, it is a simple matter of rotating them to a fresh edge. Tricky knife changes, sharpening, setting and checking are things of the past. Spiral cutter blocks are notably quieter in use, up to 50% with some timbers. The shear cutting action produces a silky smooth finish without the usual lines across the board. The action saves as much as 30% power reducing strain on the machine and lowering running costs. Extraction is much more efficient because of the even shape and smaller size of the chips.

N.B. This Machine requires a 16amp supply and it's recommended that a C Type breaker is used, if you are unsure please contact a qualified electrician.
