This 535mm throat scroll saw includes an innovative design, quality construction and comes with some unique features.
The arm assembly tilts up to 45° to the right and 35° left leaving the table horizontal. With your workpiece level, you automatically have greater control and precise cuts are easier to achieve. Visibility is improved and work carried out in a natural position. The saw has a 345mm x 597mm, heavy gauge, epoxy coated plate steel table, giving plenty of support to larger workpieces. Blade changing could not be made easier. No tools required, PEGAS blade clamps are lightweight, reduce vibration and reduce stress on the machine. Changing a blade is a simple matter of operating a quick release lever. When carrying out pierced work, you can raise the upper arm to give yourself more clearance to thread the blade through the hole in the workpiece.
The variable speed control offers 400 to 1,400 strokes per minute. The control knob is conveniently placed within easy reach. Upper and lower blade guards, an air blower and work hold down are all standard. The blade actuating arms are very short, driven by a lever and rod mechanism improving control of the blade and lowering vibration. Dust extraction from immediately beneath the blade is very efficient when connected to a suitable fine dust extractor.
Using unpinned blades offers a vast choice to suit any project, you can even use 150mm lengths of 1/4" bandsaw blade for cutting thicker materials.
Supplied with an assorted pack of Swiss made PEGAS blades.
